We're not big fans of pro football, but the playoffs usually grab our attention. So this weekend we tuned in to the Bears/Seahawks game yesterday since the Seahawks are kind of a local favorite, and we have a devout Bears fan in our family. I happened to turn it on just before the game and listened to the "experts" break down the matchup. Well, I could not believe how harsh they were being with the Bears quarterback, Rex Grossman. Apparently, the guy has had a rough few weeks and they could not leave it alone. They went as far as asking other Bears if it was his fault that the Bears were not peforming. It was ridiculous. It just kept going on and on about Grossman. You know what, everyone fails. At some point, we're all going to trip up.
"We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check."
James 3:2
Grossman did a decent job yesterday and redeemed himself. I think he was able to elminate some of the pressure that was put on him by everyone. He realized that failure is not fatal. You just get out there and do your best.
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we DO NOT GIVE UP."
Galatians 6:9

The Seahawk Fan at our house was a little bummed out at DA BEARS' victory, but oh well! Have a great Monday - we have it off too and are going to visit some friends we have not seen in a while. Thinking of you, April
Go Saints! Seems like a good cheer for your blog. Besides, Bill would be a happy camper if the Saints came marching into Chicago and worked their own miracle on Da Bears!
