What a contrast from yesterday's post. I'm sick of hearing about the moral crisis in the leadership of our country. I seriously don't hold them on a much higher moral standard, but give me a break. Governor Spitzer and his prostitution ring, his successor and his extra-marital affairs, the Detroit Mayor and his perjury case, Larry Craig and the foot tapping incident. Need I go on? I expect a lot of my friends and family, and expect the same moral fiber from someone I put in in office. Perhaps a bit more, but not that much. Is is too much to ask for some decency, some backbone, some truth? It's depressing when there is a new story out every week about a political leader. Where are we headed? I know these men have to answer to someone else rather than me eventually. A respect for God will turn men away from evil, but I guess they haven't figured that out yet. I pray for the broken families. Hopefully, they'll find some peace after a bit of soul searching.
"An ungodly man digs up evil, and it is on his lips like a burning fire. A peverse man sows strife, and a whisperer separates the best of friends. A violent man entices his neighbor, and leads him in a way that is not good. He winks his eye to devise perverse things; he purses his lips and brings about evil."

I so agree! It's sad and disgusting. I watched Spitzer's wife as they drag her out on stage with him and think, that poor woman has to go through all this and then be paraded in front of the world, on top of it all. We certainly have walked away from morals in our country and it's trickling down to every aspect of our society.
Hugs,
Connie
