Helping Out

Our daughter learned a valuable lesson this weekend. There was a benefit for a local family, and she attended it with her grandmother. While she had a blast playing games and winning prizes, she also knew that all the money went to a little girl the same age as her. This little girl is doing okay right now, but has a long road ahead in dealing with her health. Our daughter made her a card and made sure she said hi when she arrived. I think it made her feel pretty good that she was able to help someone out that needed it. There is a lot of satisfaction in reaching out to others, and our daughter got a taste of that this weekend.

"Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble."
