I.S.A.W.

Our families have been following the NCAA Basketball Tournament closely. We have always been sucked into March Madness, but with both Gonzaga and Washington State being selected this year, we of course, follow it with more intensity. Gonzaga was out in the first round, but WSU has made it to the Sweet 16. In watching press conferences and just following the team throughout the year, I have always wondered what the t-shirts meant that said, "I.S.A.W." Saturday, I got my answer in the Spokesman-Review paper, and was really touched.

It comes from the bible. I Corinthians 9:24. "Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it." In such a way. Practice, play, work hard for Him and His purpose. Keep focused on the prize, the rest will fall together. The slogan stemmed from some inspirational words from their coach, and they have made it their purpose their season. I don't know about you, but it was refreshing to hear. No matter what happens on Thursday night against the North Carolina Tarheels, the men's Cougar basketball team is a class act. There will be a prize waiting for them win or lose. Co Cougs!
