This weekend I was waiting for the University of Michigan game to come on so I was doing some channel surfing. I stumbled on a reality show on CMT that made me laugh. I don't know what the name of it is, but the basic premise (I think) is a bunch of women who were cheerleaders in high school want to be cheerleaders again. I think they were all in their 30's, but out of shape and wanted to be high school size again as well as doing something with cheerleading. I can totally understand wanting to be the same size as you were in high school. However, it's just the whole idea that bothers me....the part about looking back. I think too much time is wasted on what might have been or I wish I could change things in the past. God wants you to grow, and that takes the courage to push forward, not backwards. We should constantly be challenging ourselves to be a better person, not go back to the person that we once were.
"We pray....in order that you may live a life worth of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work , growing in the knowledge of God."
