A Note on Pride and a Thank You or Two

We must not think Pride is something God forbids because He is offended at it, or that Humility is something He demands as due to His own dignity - as if God Himself was proud. He is not in the least worried about His dignity. The point is, He wants you to know Him: wants to give you Himself. And He and you are two things of such a kind, that if you really get into any kind of touch with Him you will, in fact, be humble - delightedly humble, feeling the infinite relief of having for once got rid of all the silly nonsense about our own dignity which has made you restless and unhappy all your life.
Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis

I recently finished this book by Lewis, and have to say it has been wonderful. He illustrates a very blunt, very no-nonsense way about living your Christian life. It was an important book to spend time with while away from the blog, truly seeking what I should be listening to. I want to thank those that sent emails, comments, and prayers. It meant a lot to me. A very special thank you to "my Barnabus" in life (Acts 11:23,24 if you want to read what he meant to Paul) for encouraging me to continue to write from "my prison." Another thank you to a dear teacher friend that told me it was okay to take time away from the blog, and she was right.
