The Missing Plopper

We've been missing Plopper since January of last year. I'm sure he was misplaced in a hotel or restaurant between here and Michigan. There have been many long nights crying for Plopper. He was just a stuffed animal, but to our daughter, he was everything. We had one of these episodes the other night and she must have cried for over an hour until she fell asleep. Well, my husband had the bright idea of looking on eBay for a replacement. We thought it would be a great gift for Christmas. The new Plopper arrived yesterday and we couldn't take it anymore. My husband hid it in his back and she found it. She was so overwhelmed that she started crying, as well as mom. It was a beautiful reunion. Daddy told her he found it in the shop and it looked new because mom washed it. Yes, it was a little lie, but if you could only have seen her face. It was amazing. It reminded me of a Mastercard commercial.....

One Ty Fluffie Puppy named Plopper: $4.99
Priority Shipping: $4.99
Watching your daughter cry tears of joy for the first time: Priceless

To top it off...our daughter then said to both of us, "Mom & Dad, I don't need any Christmas presents this year. This is gift enough."

I guess we're doing something right around here. Thank you, God, for your guidance. Amen.

I laughed so hard tears of joy are still stinging my eyes! That is the sweetest story. You could have always run plopper over with the car a little like they do in a commercial with a teddy bear! The litttle white lie told to her I am sure was forgiven before it was even said! Merry Christmas lil' Grace and Plopper (welcome homee)!

I agree, what a sweet story! We have all had our own Plopper in our life! Molly was my dear teddy bear (oh wait she is still sitting by my bed...but I no longer sleep with her you might be glad to know). Fantastic! I can see the way the giving of Plopper went, just like a movie! I am always so mazed, how it is really the little things in our lives that make the biggest difference. Just one Plopper is enough or a smile from a stranger, or seeing a kind and unexpected deed! I appreciate that God allows us to revel and enjoy these small but glorious things! -Sara
