All my life, I have consistently been a people pleaser. Having cancer has helped out a little in that regard, but old habits do die hard. In fact, sometimes my motivation for doing something is seeking approval from my peers and family rather than looking upwards. I want to hear the accolades and kudos for my actions and work when I should be asking for God's forgiveness and blessings. Humility is a difficult word and sometimes even more difficult to incorporate in your life, but it's necessary. God desires that kind of character trait within ourselves, fearing Him instead of fearing what others might think.
"Humility and the fear of the Lord bring wealth and honor and life."
