Last night, we watched Monster House as a family. It was a bit scary, and I have to say that I was sure we would have a sleepless night. I snuggled with our daughter until she fell asleep, and fortunately, there were no nightmares. I guess in this instance, she knew what was fact and what was fiction. Personally, I found the house and the old man in it very frightening. I was confident that our little girl would feel the same. However (in this instance), she knew what to be afraid of and a silly movie was not the case.
I think about our lives as adults and how some things scare us that probably shouldn't. We can be shaken by situations and events that aren't necessarily going to hurt us, but we allow that fear to dictate our response. If we can just hold on and trust that God will protect us, we can not be moved.
"I have set the Lord always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken."

Way to go Grace - I am not so sure the Harris girls could handle that movie - they get scared pretty easy. Have a fun weekend Meyers and enjoy your get away!!!!
