Heavy Burdens

A lot of structures have seen their demise this last week. Garages, shops, and even houses have caved in due to the weight of the snow that was piled up on top of them. Many people are paying up to $65 an hour for someone to shovel off the top of their roof. It's the only way to prevent something from happening so they're willing to shell out the money in a last ditch effort.
It's funny how in our sprititual life things can be kind of similar. We'll stall until the weight is unbearable and then we'll think about letting God take over some of our burdens. If we had just asked Him for help in the first place, we may not feel that sense of brokenness with all that we were carrying around.

"Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved."
Psalm 55:22
