Snow Daze

I think my daughter is officially a "big kid" now. She woke up at her normal time yesterday morning, and yelled from her bed, "Mom, do we have school?" I told her "No, you can sleep in as long as you want." Then, I heard this "YES!" and she fell asleep for another hour. It was like I had a teen in that bedroom. It was unreal. This morning, I was surprised that I have to tell her the same thing since school has been cancelled again. It may not be met with such enthusiasm because Friday's usually consist of show and tell and she lives for that. So she might not be that grown up yet. We'll see. Snow days manage to bring out the kid in all of us, though. Even I get excited about being able to tell her there is no school. Everyone needs a snow day once in awhile.

The aging process has you firmly in its grasp if you never get the urge to throw a snowball.

I have a teen and he doesn't even get up to ask...even after the 5th calling. We don't have a flake of snow on the ground! No shoveling, no shoveling, no shoveling, no shoveling...!!! Have Grace dance to that music! :)
