I had to chuckle this morning as I got ready in the mirror. Here I am, putting on my anti-aging moisturizer and checking the count of gray hairs. I'm officially part of the "wisdom" crowd these days. What do I mean by that? It seems like it was a topic that came up a couple of times this weekend...once with my dear junior high school pal who stopped by to visit on Friday and then with my mom on Sunday. Kids we know are faced with huge decisions these days and you wish you could just impart your wisdom on them. If only for a day, they could see things through your eyes. I realize that we all create the situations we fall in, but it would be nice if we could help them avoid the pitfalls in life. However, it's not how it works and we just pray that God gets them through things safely and that they learn from their mistakes. I guess it worked for us.
"The wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere."
James 3:17
