In the Eyes of a Child

Kids are like filters. They know what is important to you by how you act...not by what you tell them. It's amazing how they can pick up on our hypocrisy. For instance, in our house, we have some bad words. These bad words are not necessarily the four letter ones that you would expect, but ones that just don't sound good out of the mouths of a toddler or anyone for that matter. However, once in a while...mom, dad, grandma...whoever...says one of these words and it's picked up on right away. We are corrected immediately. Fortunately, in this instance, it's just a word. It makes it all the more important to watch how you live. Somebody is always watching.

"Children are amazingly perceptive in fishing out what you really care about versus what you say you care about."
Dr. James Dobson

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
Matthew 6:33
