It really is amazing how much time marches on after heartache. No matter how difficult things seem to be for someone, eventually there is light at the end of the tunnel. In just the last week, I have seen a miracle be able to go home despite losing her sister and brother. A divorced friend went on a date. The widowed husband of a friend has started courting someone. A college roommate FINALLY got married to her college sweetheart. In all of these situations, more or less, there had been dark times when that person was sure that the sun would not rise again. The anguish that they felt smothered them, but they all managed to hang on to hope. Hope that one day, the pain wouldn't hurt as bad and they could go on living. Today is that day, and I rejoice with them.
