Being Humble

Yesterday was kind of a rough day. Well, it started out that way, but once I stopped with my pride and allowed myself to break down, things started to improve. This all happened in treatment...having to ask for help from my nurses, asking for help from my parents. Of course, this is probably the most difficult thing for me to do. However, in doing so, things started to fall in place, relief began to come my way, and a new outlook was given. I think so many times we let our pride take us down. It can destroy hope without us even knowing it. It's okay to be humble and meek...God actually prefers it.

But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."
James 4:6

You know Jenny - today I was talking to my friend about leading with an open heart and allowing ourselves to be vulnerable - our pride/ego often get in the way, but as you can see and as you know when you ask for help or put your pride aside it's nice to have help. Humility is really a wonderful trait - and I think it is an important lesson on our spiritual path - we get so caught up in the human moment. :)

Sending you hugs.
