Comfort

One of the joys of motherhood is the peace you can bring to your child. I love the fact that if our daughter has a nightmare, it just takes me going into her bedroom and holding her then she knows she'll be all right. If something troubles her, I can put her in my lap and we'll talk about it and things will be okay. If she's not feeling well, I can cuddle her up with love until the sickness has subsided. It's so rewarding and such a comfort for myself as well. I know there will be a day when mom's love can't take away all the pain, but it will still help her get through whatever she's going through. As I write this, I realize how much more I need to rely on my Father to comfort me in tough times. He's there waiting with open arms, wanting to help.

"As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem."
Isaiah 66:13
