Do it Anyway

I have days where there is nothing I would rather do than skip my chemo. Today is one of them. I would give anything to be able to not go to treatment and enjoy the day. However, if I want to sustain my life, I must go. I don't have the option to be truant. I'm sure there are many things in our lives that we would rather not do, but they have to be done. We must press on and know that it's for our own good. It might be a simple doctor appointment, maybe the first time at a bible study where we don't know anyone at all, or maybe a confrontation with a friend that's crossing a moral line. We will be uncomfortable at some point of our lives, but that's where the growth happens. We don't know what to do, so we rely on God more. He provides hope when we're frightened or swimming in a sea of awkwardness.

"This I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
Lamentations 3:21-23

The teacher is glad to read that there will be no truancy today. Hope it goes better than expected and that it brings more tomorrows not to be dreaded.

Kind of a cool thing I was just reading about this exact same verse last night, and prayed over it using you!!!!
