Crazy Joy

Last week, I ran into an old friend in the grocery store who happened to be going through some rough times. We had worked together on a women's gathering which was an amazing experience, but the group has since fizzled so we rarely see each other. I was trying to explain to her my latest revelation about joy. It sounded so crazy, but I know she was thinking the same thing. It's hard to imagine, but sometimes when you're going through the roughest part of your journey, you can feel the most joy in the daily things. I don't expect everyone to understand it, but there is this gladness that can't be denied. Maybe it's because you're relying more on God's hope, and where there is hope, there is happiness.

"Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God."
Psalm 146:5
